This is a tutorial showing you how how to successfully ambush and kill a player or players in a PvP server.

1. Use team mates
Using fellow users to your advantage is going to highly increase your chance of actually killing the users. And 90% of players that die from failed ambushes are alone. Try to get in a Skype call with whoever you're teaming with, or thoroughly chat the plan over in your base. If you end up in a jam, or the targets get away and are out of reach, a friend (or friends) can rescue you or cut off the targets.

2. Use the terrain
The terrain will greatly alter your chances of killing the target(s). If they're wandering a plains biome, use invisible potions, or dig holes, and attack there. If you're in a forest, use the trees to your advantage to snipe them. Same for Jungles. Jungle fighting can be chaotic, as you and your targets/team mates could get tangled in vines. Also someone could take a bad tumble off a tree (It's happened before.), and alert the people.

3. Use potions
It's always a good idea to have a nice idea about how you brew potions. Keep items chock-full of brewing supplies. If you're using teamwork, try to keep someone in your faction or team with brewing experience. Potions WILL turn the tides in battles. If you're going to rush them from behind or use melee attacks, strength pots will be of the essence, along with healing potions. If you're more stealthy (Like myself), then invisible potions will help you while using bows or just to get a good jump-start on the attack. Night vision potions are awesome for nighttime hunting, and splash pots of poison will slow down the targets. A nice idea is to ride by with a horse when you attack and just throw a potion on them. If you're working alone, POTIONS ARE A NECESSITY.

4. Learn about your targets
I myself have found that studying who I'm about to kill is helpful. It will give you an idea on how they attack, what they carry, armor, etc. I usually hide up in a tree or invisible potion it up, and follow the user and watch them fight. If they travel in packs or groups, then teamwork is needed. Treat the groups as a herd of buffalo. Slowly kill off the unarmored and underpowered people first, and slowly converge on the better users first, or just weaken them.

5. Rob them blind (Optional)
Although optional, robbing someone blind is very helpful. If you somehow find their base and stealing and raiding is on, sneak into their base, grab everything, and book it. Odds are they'll come back, get angry, and wander out to get supplies without a lot of gear. Therefore, kill them there for stuff.
