How to update your texture packs to resource packs

1. Go to mojang.com and find the horse update and at the bottom line there should be a download for a texture pack convert to resource pack

When you download the file it should be called textureender.rar

2. Open it with Java

3. select the outdated pack and run the program

4. Were ever the texture pack was the converted it should be called (whateveritscalled)-234135351353

5. Drag it into the recourse packs folder and your done

it might be because im using a texture pack thats for like 1.2.4 but its not working for me. do u have any clue how to make it 1.6?

I was able to get  them converted, but thanks for responding!. Took you a while though lol. I have abandoned that pack though. It's just not my style, plus I couldnt upload it to PMC since it was a Legacy pack. I did have permission from the owner of the pack though so idk. I have made a texture pack from the start though and I'm pretty impressed with myself for it. I havn't updated it in forever though since I havn't been in a minecraft mood.
