first thing how do u find out the items ID?

Step 1: Get the block. Use TMI or /give {player} 137
Step 2: Place the block and right click it.
Step 3: use a command like /give @p 137 1
Step 4: for nearest player to get the item, put @p before the command, for random player, @r for all players, @a.
Step 5: To activate the block, use a redstone current leading into it.
