Herobrine had fled.
The players were trapped by the owner.
The owner became greedy and wanted to know Herobrine's secrets.
The owner was following Herobrine everywhere he went, no matter whether it was snowy, grasslands, mountainous, or worse, the owner would not let him go, but did not get close enough that he would be killed by him.
The owner had regretfully discovered that Herobrine could easily punch through godmode, and that it was worthless to try and stop him.
Back at the cage, the admin was trying to calm everyone down, saying the owner was temporarily insane, which was true, and quite sad as the server was a quite good and fairly new one.
Steve, who was the only one that escaped, was having a conversation with the admin, trying to convince him to promote him so that he could stop the insane host.
The admin was trying not to give into the urge to give him admin commands, but finally gave in and promoted Steve to admin, which surprised everyone.
Steve, who had thought for a while, returned to the place where it all started: The Altar.
The altar was still burning after Herobrine had been summoned, so Steve tried his first theory.
Enabling rain, he tried to put the fire out with it, but it didn't work.
His next idea succeeded though, as he used the lightning command to strike the netherrack again, and surprisingly Herobrine responded.
[Herobrine]: Fools, you've summoned me and now you've stopped me... I shall return!
A screaming and sucking sound filled the speakers of all the players as Herobrine reappeared on the altar, staring at Steve with a diamond sword in his hand.
Herobrine struck Steve down for the final time as the owner appeared on the top of the altar with Herobrine as he started fading.
The owner was now fading as well, wanting to go with Herobrine and learn his secrets, he faded after him, gone until he was summoned once again.
The admin, who received a message saying he had been promoted to owner and transfered command of the server to, destroyed the cage and destroyed the Herobrine altar, leaving a sign as tribute to havocruler, who is still in Herobrine's Realm to this day.
