By gamers the Minecraft character you play is known by 'Steve' however that does seem a little suspicious name; simple perhaps to simple...so that's what brings me to a theory. Maybe Steve is actually...*Drum role*...The Doctor? Yes the Doctor! In the game the character dies and comes back to life or in Who terms: regeneration (this includes putting on skins). The Doctor could have crashed in the land of Minecraftia with his TARDIS which is lost somewhere but is using it's chameleon circuit to take a form of a plant or tree!
