i need help making a server!! mac

i have been trying to make a server but for some reason it never works! i run on mac, so if u can help me let me know. :P also i have wached a bunch of videos and tutorials about it but i can't do it. i also don't know how to code or anything so if i need to do that i can't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please comment if you can help!!!!!!!! ps i have a mac not a pc so yeah.

ok so you need a .zip file minecraft.net has some stuff for multiplayer servers... i have a mac too so we can both figure this out! maybe if you do make this server shoot me the ip at first white list it and look for builders id love to help when you do!
