This is going to be my best blog possible. I am going to write well, and make it enjoyable... Hope you enjoy.
Also, I know XP will never ever be removed, and I do not want it to be, so don't think I do! :D

(ATTEMPT 3 ON BLOG)

Experience.

Commonly sought after on PMC by many players.

But what if there was no XP on PlanetMinecraft?

Well here are my opinions on what would happen.

Negative Impacts

Other than a good community, amazing place to upload your work, and great people who run the site, what I think also makes PlanetMinecraft unique to all the other sites is its XP system.
XP is a gives a sense of achievement to members of the site, and show how other members like what you do. Losing this part of PMC is like taking the stripes off a tiger. It would still be a cool tiger... But no even close to being the same as before. In other words, a part of the uniqueness of the site would be gone.

Experience also drives some people to upload their content. The XP is something to work for, and look forward to after uploading content. These people may still upload content if XP was gone. But they either won't do it as frequently, or they will lose interest very quickly.

Popularity is also shown by XP. When I say popularity, I do NOT mean the high school popularity. I mean more on the lines of lots of people enjoying your content and wanting more from you. This wouldn't be a huge factor if XP was removed because there would still be diamonds and subscribers, but it is still is a way of showing how people like your work without having to look at how many subs and diamonds you have.

Positive Impacts

Going back to the whole "XP drives people to upload content" thing. This isn't always a good thing. Some people believe lots of players upload work they didn't try hard to make just for thesmall amounts of XP. This may, or may not be always true, but if XP was removed, many of the people who do do that will probably stop. You may be thinking "But there is still diamonds and subs!".
I have been on this site long enough to know that bad content isn't recognized, and good content is usually recognized. This may make people want to upload more thought out, detailed, work.

"You're only level 1." How many times have you seen someone say this? Although I see it less and less, it is still a thing that happens. People tend to judge level 1 members, and think they are noobs. They may be a noob... But even if they are, it does't matter. If there was no XP, this wouldn't be a common occurrence where someone judges another player.

Ending

As you can see, if XP was removed, or maybe never there, there are both positive and negative effects. Although, I thought of more negative than positive. But that's only my opinion.
Whats yours?

Just in case you forgot, I really do not want XP removed. This is just what I think would happen.

Also, if you are going to comment, read this.

-If you disagree, please mention why. It is really quite annoying when someone blatantly says
"I disagree".

-If you don't like the blog, I am cool if you post it, but explain why, and maybe how I can improve it. Otherwise, keep it to yourself. Thanks!

i see skins worse than mine that make me say " how is that popular" and its only because they are high in level, don't get me wrong i'm not saying my work is the best, but level definately has a factor in this, i've seen lvl 2 and 3's with excellent blogs, or skins, or whatevers, but nobody looks at them, because they are low level, it makes it nearly impossible for low levels to get the xp they rightly deserve because it doesn't appear first, and they aren't well known such for example, mamyiuaortara ( yes i know i spelled it wrong and i apologize ) hes the guy currently working on the minimap mod, nobody looks at the other things, they see, " wow thats a lot of views, i'll go with that" its a shame really

I joined PMC almost 3 years ago when it had no levelling system and loved it due to the fact that feedback on my work was so easy to get. I didn't care about diamonds/views/favourites - the comments meant the most to me.

Honestly, I do think PMC wouldn't be as large as it is now if it wasn't for XP - not sure if the community would improve or not. Not much seems to have really changed in general to the community in my 3 years here.

To be honest, PMC used to be a great place (but don't get me wrong, it definitely still is to an extent) where people shared their projects and ideas about Minecraft. Now it has a large amount of people posting content they put little time into so they can just elevate their status and gain more (worthless) levels, xp and e-diamonds.

I'd like it if the leveling system etc were removed completely, so someone was judged based on the quality of their projects not how many times they can spam everyone's feed with AMA threads or the dirt house that they spent 60 seconds on. I may just feel like this because I joined Planet Minecraft before the leveling system was implemented, but I still believe that it's a problem somewhat.

If there wasn't any levels it wouldn't of made a difference what I've uploaded and and promise of more virtual levels doesn't make me want to upload more.

I wont e-diamond because I don't believe it will contribute to the PMC community, but thanks for the read. :)

Your statement is all true and I agree with you, But if the leveling system weren't implemented into PMC lots of people wouldn't care because they don't really get a reward for their post (may it be bad or good) people still like having levels so they can expect rewards which keeps lots of amazing posters such as yourself motivated although you don't entirely care for it. But others may and that keeps them motivated. But looking on the bad side it does attract lots of spammers who post things that took them like 1min to make just to get xp which is annoying because that's all I ever see anymore besides the odd amazingness! Which there is a lot of too but mostly just bad quality stuff. And I would still try my best at making my builds even if there weren't xp (But I suck at minecraft XD) but atlest I try! That's my opinion
