Hey guys welcome to my new blog serise I will be doing titled: IM SO FRICKING SICK OF: ________, the blank being the thing I want to beat to death with a baseball bat, kick it in the balls, then murder it with a chainsaw.
Most of the time I hope these are things we all can realate to.
So lets hop in then guys, because im fricking sick of gaming stereotypes.
First, let me tell you some storys on what set me off:
So me and my friend are sitting in my room, and he notices I have a zelda poster, and he goes: "Hey is that a zelda poster?" and I told him yes, and then he glanced back overhis shoulder and looked at it again and laughed, so I asked him: "What?"
and he says: "Nothing, it just looks kinda dumb, I mean look at his hat, what kinda retard wears a hat like that?" this friend, had by the way NEVER played one second of a zelda game in his life, and had just assumed because of links hat (Witch by the way is totaly boss) that the entire game was dumb and not worth checking out.
Let me tell you ANOTHER story (bear with me): I was talking with a different friend at basketball and I asked him what his favorite game was, he immeadiatly said without hesitation, skyrim. I told him I thought alan wake and borderlands 2 were much better games than skyrim, and this was his reply: "Well alan wake is just a generic zombie shooter game, and borderlands 2 is outdated, how are either of those better than skyrim?" My reaction was: *facepalm**facepalm**facepalm*
The fact of the matter is, it DOES NOT MATTER WHEN A GAME WAS MADE OR WHAT THE GRAPHICS LOOK LIKE.
The original Legend of Zelda was made back in the 80s I belive, and its still one of the greatest games of all time.

So how can we solve this?: Simple, we muder everyone who stereotypes games with a chainsaw. NOT.
Well WE as a comminuty can actualy PLAY THE GAMES before we talk about them (Alan Wake taught me to do that).
As far as reforming those friends?: We get them to play the game when they come over. I know I know theyll probably be telling you how stupid it looks and how bad the graphics are, but hey, thats what I was like to my friend before I played alan wake, and now its one of my favorite games of all time.
