Yeah, yeah, I know there's a lot of these but I haven't posted anything in awhile and I'm in a rage mode today. AND I've been seeing a lot of crap on here lately. People just wanting to get more XP, more views, etc., but there's even more to it than all that stuff that makes me mad...

Introduction I'm going to say it again. You've all probably seen at least one other blog about the lack of quality on PMC. So why do you keep seeing them? Because it's true. Blogs with less then 500 characters and no thought put into it are making the popular reel. Everyone redoing "ESCAPE THE PRISON!" and "Survival Island" maps, and they usually suck. The skins just being spam of teenage girls/boys with creeper hoodies and the only difference is color. And when was the last time you saw a major change with a mod? One you would actually do a Let's Play on? Yeah. I thought so. I'm making this blog to TRY to get it out there again that people need to start uploading more creative things. And I will bet you that after I post this, someone will make a blog about the lack of quality on PMC, because no one can think of their own ideas.
What I Rage AtA lot of things, actually. For one, I hate seeing the same thing over and over again, with no differences between them. Two, I hate things that have no creativity, no thought, and are absolute crap. I'm seeing more and more of these uploads on the site. Three, I hate when these things get on the popular reel and people that spend hours working on a blog get only 10 views and maybe one extra diamond. (Which was my whole point on starting the "Unknown PMCers" thing; you can see it on my uploads. I decided to start that because this kind of blog has been done so much. But something made me crack and make this. Read on to find out what that is.) This happens on YouTube, too. I'm just happy that people with terrible videos don't get subscribed. But on here... some popular people are uploading junk and because they have a lot of subscribers, people are liking it.
What You can doDon't just sit back and watch PMC collapse. If you upload stuff on here, whether it's projects, skins, mods, blogs, or texture packs, make sure it's something people would want. Make sure YOU took the time to make it the best you can. This may sound kind of mean but don't upload things you know you're not good at doing. Even if you did your best, if you aren't good at building, skinning, modding, etc., don't upload anything you made under that category. It only took me a couple of terrible builds to realize I was terrible at it. And skinning, I'm okay at, but people don't like my skins. So I stopped uploading those things. I found out I'm good at blogging, which is the only stuff I make on here anymore. Everyone is good at at least ONE thing you can do on here. If it's not anything you can upload, well, stick to the forums. Help people out on there. Say "Welcome, hi!" to the new users. Maybe you can be mod one day. Maybe. Just don't become a crappy uploader. Make QUALITY things.
InspirationI mentioned earlier for you to read on to find out why I made this blog, well, here it is. So, after not being very active on PMC for a couple of weeks, I finally went back on here today and looked at the blogs to read anything interesting. I scrolled through the popular reel. What do I find? TWO Server Unoriginality blogs, by different people. They want to talk about unoriginal things? I'm pretty sure one of them copied the other because he/she made the popular reel. This got me mad. But that's not the only reason why I made this. One of the blogs on the popular reel I thought I would find interesting was "Minecraft Wonders" by smanrt (Please don't kick me out of the Royal Squid Society, smanrt. Please...!) It started off talking about the Far Lands, which I thought were cool. Never heard of them before because I'm a complete noob... or because I didn't start playing until 1.1... but ANYWAYS, I thought they were pretty sweet. And then... I read the description of it. If there wasn't a picture, I wouldn't have any clue what the Far Lands would look like. In the top he did say that there would be "a brief description/experience with them", so I won't complain too much, since he talked about his experience and the Far Lands would definitely be a Minecraft Wonder. But then the next wonder was The Nether Bridges. I didn't find them cool at all, and if anything in the Nether should be noted as a Wonder, it would be the temples. Not bridges that sometimes lead to them. The next wonder was as equally pretty as the Far Lands and had a good description, so I have nothing to say here. And then the final wonder was the End. The End? I'm not going to EXTREMELY criticize about opinion here, but how is having a dragon make it a Wonder? It's not pretty, it's not cool, it's just a boss world. But again, this could just be all opinion of a girl.... What made me mad the most though about this blog is that there were only 4. There are plenty of awesome seeds in Minecraft that he could have included, and what about the Jungle and Desert Temples? Those things are awesome for being randomly generated. I got mad that he didn't spend the time to include some more things that are definitely better then the End and Nether Bridges. This is what made me write this blog. Sorry, smanrt. Not yelling at you in general, just that blog.
