Day 17: I woke up this morning with Lloyd shaking me awake and saying I need to meet him on the deck when I’m ready. I tried to ask what was going on, but he didn’t say anything. I got ready, and I started hearing several voices coming from the deck. Familiar ones, looks like I found out where the rest of the pyjama crew is.

Instead of walking up, I decided to listen to the conversation from the sleeping quarters. I heard Kai asking where I was, followed by Lloyd saying:
“She’s just getting ready; she should be here any second.”.

Kai began asking Lloyd why he avoided contact for the past few weeks, to which Lloyd stumbled a reply I was unable to hear. The conversation continued with Kai and Nya telling Lloyd how I manipulated him once and how irresponsible his actions were, then followed by silence. After a few seconds, I heard Cole trying to be the voice of reason explaining Kai's intentions, without the unnecessary yelling. Then I heard lightning mouth blabber on about how they found out we were back in Ninjago City.

To no surprise, apparently, our date made headlines “Lloyd’s date ends with a kiss from the princess”, lucky us. After that, I had enough and decided to join them on the deck. Needless to say, they were very thrilled to see me. Additionally, as soon as I showed up, Kai looked directly at me and asked:
“So are you two together?”

Lloyd went on to explain how I only talk to him and that we’re together. Zane tried to assure me that we weren’t here to judge based on past mistakes, or at least he wasn’t. As much as Zane and Cole were reasonable, I still didn’t want to talk. I can’t blame them for wanting to yell at me, but yelling at Lloyd just seemed uncalled for. Sure, he’s not the brightest sometimes, but you can’t get mad at him for wanting to see the good in m̶e̶ someone. Kai didn’t seem too pleased with my response, though, yelling about how I was manipulating him again.

I decided enough was enough shouting at the hothead:
“Why would I manipulate him again? I have nothing to gain. My gang is in jail, any signs of a family is gone, and Garmadon is who knows where.”.

In response, I got the hothead's sister, saying I just wanted to stay out of jail. I hate the siblings. As for which one I hate more, I’d say it’s pretty even. Luckily, Lloyd was starting to get annoyed, though not as bad as me. Lloyd said in annoyance if they just came to yell at us then they could leave. He mentioned that they were able to forgive Garmadon. In response, Kai simply said:
“I can’t forgive someone for something I can’t forget.”.

Then water girl went on to explain that Garmadon was bitten by The Great Devourer and the reason he’s evil now is that I brought him back with the Oni mask. Then Kai walked off the boat, along with the rest of the ninja. Though, Zane and Cole were nice and said bye to us. After that mess, Lloyd went to the living room area and sat down. I decided to sit beside him. He proceeded to apologize for Kai’s behavior, he explained that Kai is just very protective. I told him:
“I wasn’t mad for them not liking me, since I was worse than a kidnapper of princess mwahahaha!”

Then, just like that, I was able to make him smile.

Fun fact: The ninja were originally planned to appear on night 16. They were going to catch Lloyd and Harumi out on their date. However, since night 16 was already extremely long I decided to adjust the story to make them appear the following day.
