Living in a Minecraft World -
I've played Minecraft for many years
By myself or with my peers
Up at midnight roaming through open fields
Or during sunrise fighting monsters with swords and shields
To say I've played this game is modest at best
It was more of a journey or a long-winding quest
I didn't just play Minecraft, I lived it first-hand
Through each biome, from snow to sand
It was a fond memory, not just a game
The game never started over, or repeated the same
It lives and it thrives like I was never really there
It regenerated, built block by block with care
Each world was mine, not something that was planned
Every world is unique and original, through sea and land
Not just in the way we choose to play, but how we change
The mountains, the caves, each hill and range
We fight, we build, do whatever we please
Battle dozens of monsters or sail the many seas
That this game has to offer us, it's never repeated
For such a big game, it's amazing it was conceited
By a man named Notch, one of which isn't restricted
By having to sell the same material we've already depicted
Because we've seen the same games time and time around
Instead of a canvas of creativity, we get another battleground
But instead Notch did what he wanted, playing by his own rules
Instead of shooting guns, you craft many tools
Out of what you discover for yourself, not just what's given face value
You fend for yourself or with others, shall you..
Carry on building magnificent towers
Staying in your fortress at night like cowards?
Or will you venture out forth with a sword and armor
Slashing and hacking away like a zombie farmer?
It's all up to you, there's no one to tell you otherwise
And the completion you give yourself is your own prize
There's no real finishing point, it goes on forever
Like the world itself, there's no end, so keep on with your endeavor
Do whatever you want, the world is yours to create
And just like Minecraft itself, there's no debate
That the game was built ground up from the community, and it's here to stay
That's what I love about it, and I wouldn't want it any other way
Thank's for reading!
