LUMi, the singer designed after grace, transparency and beautiful jellyfish.

Announced in late May, many people were stunned at the simple yet elegant appearance of this new female vocal LUMi. Nobody knew how the voice had sounded yet, but some had taken quite an attachment early on. Twitter and some Vocaloid fan sites exploded with praises towards LUMi. The character voicer Sayaka Ohara enjoys the attention LUMi has received in Japan and even western region. In an interview, it is interesting to mention that Ms. Ohara would wish to see her character sing at the opening ceremony for the Olympics in Tokyo.

Only recently was LUMi's vocal bank released for trial use on her official website. It is currently unknown as to when she will be available for purchase. Since the release of her voice, many users have taken a stronger liking to her or completely steered away. Even though this is normal for new Vocaloid additions, it looks like a bright future for LUMi.

Rumor: It has been mentioned that LUMi will be trilingual? That would be quite a feat for Ms. Ohara.
