Microfantasia - Chapter 5

It was a quiet evening in that microscopic world. Such a peaceful time for all. Every day was always lovely in that world. It's too bad that it wasn't the same in Orion Fields. Such a sad aroma flowed through the air. Everyone was unsettled every minute of the day. The reason why is because Shiro, every Friday--which was the present day--would walk through all of Orion Fields to visit her neighbors. It was always her tradition to walk in all of Orion Fields wearing white clothes and carrying a basket with a certain random kind of fruit or berry. She would give one of the kind of fruit or berry to every person that inhabited Orion Fields whether it was an elder or a toddler. Almost the whole population of Orion Fields--in fact--called Shiro, "The White Queen."

Everyone who hadn't known of Shiro's "death" before were guaranteed to know of it that Friday. Those who knew of the sad loss still hoped eagerly that somehow the ghost of The White Queen would come even just for that one Friday. But sadly, what they had hoped did not happen. Eventually, the next morning, everyone--in horror--found out the truth on what happened to their White Queen. The horrific uproar of sadness and anger shook Ao making him have to go faster with his investigation. But no matter what happened, Ao could never seem to find the answer, though he'd continue looking with confidence.

Meanwhile, that morning, Shiro woke up late in the afternoon. She had barely gotten any sleep at all from last night with everything on her mind. She couldn't stop thinking about Mrs. Wheatfield, better yet the mysterious man, but the thing that kept her up the most was The White Queen's appearance. She felt bad for all of the elders and children, who were obviously very much hoping that their queen in white would come once more. But there was obviously nothing she could do. She was stuck in a separate world from them and didn't know how to go back home. But though in the morning the thought of The White Queen's nonappearance still haunted her deeply, that morning Shiro could only focus on that man she found yesterday that ran away...

"I just .... don't get it at all! That man! Who was he? Did he know anything that I'm wondering? Does he have my answers? Why was that gang beating him up and better yet what did they want? And what about Mrs. Wheatfield?" Shiro questioned herself. "Agh! This doesn't make any sense at all!"
"Shiro?" Yumi asked walking into Shiro's room, "Is everything alright?"
"No .... no, nothing's alright! I have so many questions and no answers at all!!!!" Shiro answered frustratedly.
"Hm .... I see ....... maybe I can help," Yumi muttered.
"No, you can't help!" Shiro stated.
"What are your questions?" Yumi asked calmly sitting next to Shiro on her bed.
"None of them will make sense," Shiro mumbled.
"Let me at least try!" Yumi demanded.
"Alrighty then .... well, there was this guy last evening that I saw. He was being beaten up by a gang. They wanted something from him and once I got rid of them he ran off without letting me get his name. My question is who is he, what did they want from him and does he have answers I need," Shiro answered.
"Hm ... a man being beaten up ... it couldn't be, could it?" Yumi muttered to herself.
"Oh, do tell me, Yumi! What did you think up!?" Shiro asked anxiously.
"Get this--a few nights ago, I was walking home and I saw the exact same thing! What did the guy look like? How about the gang!?" Yumi asked.
"Well ... the gang ... kinda hard to explain ..... but the guy ... he had spiky hair .... and ....I can't really define anything els-"
"Oh!!! That's him!!!! That's the guy I saw getting beaten up!"
"What!? Really!?"
"Yeah! Tell you what--we'll look for him together!"
"Great! Definitely!"
"Great! Now seriously! Eat some breakfast or something!"

Meanwhile, somewhere dark, there were 9 people talking together. It was too dark to see a single face or characteristic. The only think unique was their voices. Though they were all pretty unique from each other, two of the voices almost sounded the same. The first voice was a male's voice. It was quite deep and tough sounding, and the person was perhaps in their 30s or possibly even 40s. The second was the voice of another man. This voice, however, sounded slightly younger than the first voice, making it highly likely that the person was younger than the first. The third was a woman's voice. The woman sounded a bit sassy and "womanly mature-like," around the 20s or so. The 4th voice sounded like an elderly woman. There wasn't really anything special or unusually unique about this voice. the 5th and 6th voice both sounded extremely similar to each other. They sounded like they were in their teenage years. The 7th, 8th, and 9th had voices that were modified with technology, so there was no way that someone could tell what age or gender the owners of the voices were.
"Hey, what are you doing?" the 1st voice started.
"Reading," the 4th voice answered,
"Oh, come on, gramps! Reading is for losers!" the 3rd voice scolded.
"Shut up, she can read if she likes," the 8th voice barked.
"Hey, stay out of this!" the 3rd voice scolded. "It's not right to fight with a lady!"
"Would you two shut up!?" the 2nd voice asked with an annoyed tone.
"My, my, such little children. Sounds like you all should be in preschool," the 4th voice muttered.
"I was only asking a question, ma'am," the 1st voice stated.
"I understand, I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about those children!" the 4th voice said.
"Hey, hold on a second! I'm not a child! If anyone is a child, it's you!" the 3rd voice scolded.
"Eh, no offense, but she's more of the opposite of a child .... ya know what I mean?" the 2nd voice muttered.
"Oh, whatever!" the 3rd voice growled.
"Hey, sorry I took so long," the 9th voice muttered.
"Oh, you got the data transferred?" the 1st voice asked.
"Yes, I have," the 9th voice mumbled.
"Did you get ambushed again?" the 3rd voice asked with a snicker.
"..... Yes, I did," the 9th voice confessed.
"Oh, you poor dear! How awful!" the 4th voice said worriedly sad.
"Agh, it's alright. At least I'm okay now, right?" the 9th voice muttered.
"Right .... well, let's get to it!" the 4th voice said.
"Right," the 9th voice muttered.

It was much later in the afternoon that Yumi and Shiro was still looking for the mysterious man. They had been searching since after Shiro ate her breakfast. Shiro was hoping that answers were what awaited her though she still had no clue of anything. There were so many people in the village, though, it was hard to move around and search without finding themselves in the place they were just at. Short, brief minutes turned into long, exhausting hours. And still with no luck of finding the mysterious man, Shiro and Yumi found it hopeless.
"This is getting us ... absolutely nowhere," Shiro muttered.
"I wish I had a tractor on him," Yumi mumbled.
Shiro jumped back startled after hearing Yumi's mumbling. Yumi looked at Shiro curiously as Shiro was frozen staring at Yumi. She finally moved herself to wipe sweat off her forehead and sigh.
"Yumi, for crying out loud, we don't want to smash him. There's a difference between a tractor and a tracker!" Shiro muttered exhaustively.
"Oh ... I'm sorry," Yumi mumbled noticing her mistake.
"Yeah ... but I agree, I should've had a tracker on him," Shiro muttered.
"Yeah, I know what you mean.
"Gosh, it's hot," a voice behind Yumi and Shiro declared.
"You and me both, man," Shiro muttered then realized that voice she heard.
She turned around abruptly and there he was! The very man that ran away from Shiro as she was going to ask him for his name. Shiro sighed relieved and sat next to him on the bench.
"I've been looking for you!!!" Shiro stated.
"Really?" the man asked.
"Yeah! I need answers so .... I thought to ask you since it seemed like you knew something I was looking for!" Shiro answered.
"Huh? What am I, a tour guide?" the man asked.
"Shut up and start answering!" Shiro barked.
"You haven't even asked me a question!" the man stated.
"Well, here it comes! First, who are you? What are you, where do you come form? What did that gang want from you and do you have something in certain with them going on? Do you know who Mrs. Wheatfield is and ... what is your name again?" Shiro inquired rambling.
"Uh .... well, don't you got a lot in your mouth! Well ... my name is Spike and I'm ... does it take eyeglasses to see what I am? Aaaanyways, I come from a land far away from here that's ruins now .... and that gang was just a bunch of ambushers. They wanted .... something I couldn't give them and all. And ... wait ..... did you say .... Mrs. Wheatfield!?" the man replied.
"Huh?" Shiro asked.
