Hey there! Can't tell you how long I've been waiting to make this chapter! xD It's finally here now! (Wow, so hard to believe that we're gonna be in the double-digits after this chapter.... O.O Who thought...) Well, hope you enjoy the 9th Chapter of Microfantasia!!! ^^

Shiro's day did not turn to be a very pleasant one. It seemed at first that going with Aronn and Rex was a brilliant idea, but after getting a taste of the real Aronn and Rex, the peace and the idea went downhill majorly. Once they had boarded the train that would soon leave to Keroko Town, they were quiet, but after Aronn started making conversation with Shiro on his childhood days, Rex and Aronn had been quarreling since.
It was always, "Well, who cares about your childhood!? You've only lived 22 years!!! It's only something really to care for when you've hit your 40s or so!'" or it was, "How could you bore out a mid-teenager with such gibber-gabber crap!? I've heard a more interesting childhood then that!!!" or something within the boundaries. The two constantly shot out insults or debated in a rude way and every few minutes there would be a silent pause, then when Shiro was going to speak, they would continue on. It was eventually, sometime in the afternoon, that they finally stopped quarreling, but that was only when they had arrived at their destination...
"Wow, impressive town ... it's so big!" Shiro exclaimed as she looked around to see the lovely buildings and markets and trees surround her, Aronn, and Rex.
"Yes, it is, isn't it?" Aronn said with a smile.
"So ... why are we here?" Shiro asked as she turned to face Aronn, who was admiring the surroundings.
"Oh, well ... we have some business here ... but hey, what's it like to be back, Rex?" Aronn answered as he turned to face Shiro then Rex.
"Hm? Well, that's what I was gonna ask you. After all, this is where we met and all," Rex muttered as he observed his surroundings carefully.
"Wow! You guys met here? How cool!" Shiro exclaimed excitedly.
"We sure did! It was really crowded and all, and I was walking to work and all, and then I bumped into Rex! It's ... too bad that he fell unconscious because I bonked him on the head with a pot I was carrying," Aronn explained with a laugh to end his words.
"It's funny for you because I was the one to fall unconscious .... man, that hurt like crap," Rex muttered and uncomfortably rubbed his head where he got hit way back when.
"Well, it's nothing like good memories!" Aronn exclaimed cheerfully.
"So what kind of business do you guys got here?" Shiro asked.
"Business we really can't mention to outsider-"
"We got some business with a friend of ours who's got some info we need!" Aronn blabbed out interrupting Rex.
"Ag- hey! That was private t- .... agh, never mind ... he spilled it," Rex said beginning to scold but then discontinuing his words.
"Hmm ... can I tag along?" Shiro asked.
"Well, sure!" Aronn answered with a smile.
"Okay, thanks!" Shiro said smiling kindly.
So then, they continued on through the crowded Keroko Town. It was awhile before things got interesting as there were just people everywhere. After late in the afternoon, Shiro started getting more experience of what it was like in Keroko Town. Many accidents happened before their eyes such as theft, dropping heavy jars, fights breaking out, people getting injured, etc. Shiro was surprised she actually got through it all without getting hurt. As for the other two, Aronn got a scratch on his arm and Rex sprained his ankle, therefore Aronn was then carrying him.
It was shortly later that Aronn and Rex, along with Shiro, went down an alley that seemed to be quiet and empty at the moment. Shiro began to get a sensation of danger as they continued down, but she continued anyways. The alley seemed to go on forever like a never-ending hallway. The sensation of danger approaching only grew worse and worse as Shiro went down the hall with the two men. It eventually got so bad, that Shiro stopped walking. Moments after Shiro stopped walking, the other two noticed and turned back to get to Shiro. The two were both curious on why Shiro stopped as they approached her.
"What the matter, Shiro?" Aronn asked concerned.
"It's too much," Shiro began.
"What's too much?" Rex asked curiously.
"The sensation ... the sensation that we're walking into danger's arms like mindless children ..... are you sure this is the alley we need to go down?" Shiro answered with an interrogation.
"Yeah, of course it is," Rex answered.
"If you'd like to wait for us, we can go on ahead quickly with you staying here or something. How would that be?" Aronn asked making a suggestion.
"No ... I don't think I can wait ... I don't know how long quickly is .... it's taken so long to go down this hall that I'm not sure if it'll be, 'quickly,' as you say," Shiro objected.
"I see then ... so you're worried," Aronn muttered.
"That's right," Shiro confirmed.
"Why did you even wanna come with us? If you're that much of a worry wart, then you shouldn't have come," Rex asked with a sigh.
"Because I thought ... maybe you guys were after answers that I was looking for," Shiro answered muttering.
"Answers, you say ...? Who are you, kid? And what kind of answers are you after?" Aronn questioned.
"My name is Shiro Iroko .... and I'm looking for answers on Mrs. Wheatfield," Shiro answered.
"Mrs. Wheatfield!?" Rex asked drawing his sword and pointing it at Shiro's neck. "Then you are no friend of us!"
"Then ... that's how it is, isn't it? Well ... I have to find my answers and I'll do whatever it takes!" Shiro said drawing a rather large knife.
Meanwhile, somewhere dark, voices were discussing odd matters. It was shortly that they started setting up a screen or some kind of device.
"So, Aronn and Rex are fighting ... who are they fighting, though?" the 8th voice asked.
"Probably some drunk geezer," the 9th voice answered.
"Ah, the screen's working!" the 8th voice cheered.
Shiro with Aronn and Rex appeared on the screen. The owner of the 9th voice almost choked to death once the screen completely showed what was going on.
"Ugh! Some brat girl? I was getting excited, too! How disappointing!!!" the 3rd voice whined.
"Uh ... well, I bet she's more of a challenge than you," the 9th voice smarted off.
"Oh, how rude!!!" the 3rd voice snapped.
"You almost choked to death, might you be alright?" the 5th voice asked.
"Yes, you indeed did almost choke to death, might you even be fine?" the 6th voice asked.
"Or perhaps he knows the girl somewhere?" the 5th voice questioned.
"In that case I see a future wife," the 6th voice added on.
The two voices said, "Ooooo so romantic!" at the same time. The 9th voice growled angrily at the two.
"Shut up! I don't know the girl, you idiots!" the 9th voice scolded. "Don't go around assuming things!"
"Yes, yes, we understand, we were naughty, weren't we now?" the 5th voice asked.
"Yes, yes, we were quite naughty," the 6th voice answered.
"Well ... let's see how this one goes down the drain ... shall we, boys?" the 9th voice asked.
"We shall! We shall very much!" the 5th and 6th voice answered.
