Hey guys! Today I'm going to talk about Microsoft and Minecraft.

As you probably would know, Microsoft owns Minecraft, and has owned Minecraft for several months. Minecraft was sold to Microsoft in September for 2.5 billion dollors. Notch continued to buy a 70 million dollar home in Beverly Hills (it's the most expensive home in Beverly Hills). But now that Microsoft has control, what will happen to Minecraft?

Against common belief, I think that Microsoft won't ruin Minecraft. Microsoft is a very experienced company. Bill Gates, the owner, is very smart and is extremely wealthy. How could a company like Microsoft, with so much experience, ruin Minecraft?

Although Microsoft probably won't ruin Minecraft, there is something else to be afraid of. As you may know, Microsoft owns Xbox. The Xbox is own of the four things you can play Minecraft on. So, what if Microsoft adds special updates, perks and cool things to the Xbox, and none of the other places you can play Minecraft? It would make sense. If Microsoft did this, people may be inclined to get an Xbox, so that they could play the "better" version of Minecraft.

In conclusion, if you have an Xbox and you love good updates, Microsoft might just please you. But this is just my theory of what Microsoft will do. It is very possible that things will not happen the way I say. Thanks for reading! If you liked this, please diamond. :D

Microsoft owns Windows, yes, but they don't own all computers. Minecraft is for all computers. For example, I play Minecraft on a MacBook, which is owned by Apple. Meanwhile, Microsoft completely owns Xbox. I am taken aback at your negativity. Thanks for your comment.

It does not own Minecraft just so you know. It owns Mojang. Mojang owns Minecraft.

I didn't feel like saying, "Microsoft owns Mojang and Mojang owns Minecraft.". Instead, I shortened it up with just saying that Microsoft owns Minecraft, which is true.

Yes. But technically, if it owns Mojang it also owns all the rights to minecraft. So they have a legal right to do whatever they want with minecraft.

No, the other comphany only published it on Xbox 360/ Xbox 1. Mojang still has a team that makes the Xbox versions. So yes, microsoft could still change the Xbox version.
