Hey guys! So minecraft is all about its players and what the community wants. So I'm just here to tell you my thoughts on some things that minecraft should add. Feel free to leave feedback or add ideas of your own to this post.
I think mojang could realistically add most of these ideas. (This post will probably be updated frequently as ideas from you guys come up.)
Minecraft Wishlist Update 2.0 (Realistic Ideas that could be added)
General Improvements
+ Mobs rarely drop their heads when killed (not just wither skeletons).
+ More fair villager trading.
+ Iron golems have a rare chance of spawning in villages.
+Snow golems have a rare chance of spawning in snow villages. (see in the world features section)
+ You can place two different types of slabs on top of each other (i.e: place a wood slab and brick slab directly on top of each other)
+ All mob spawners are now available in creative inventory.
+ Command blocks are now available in creative inventory.
+ You can now throw the ender pearl in creative mode.
+ All mushroom blocks are now available in creative inventory.
+ Ability to set fly speed in creative mode.
+ Ability to attach a lead to all mobs and not just passive ones.
+ Green Robed villagers spaw in game
New enchantments.
+ Drawback (changes speed of charging your bow, higher level means faster drawback speed).
+ Trajectory (makes arrows fly further when shot)
+ Treading (makes you swim faster in the water).
New commands.
+ /gamerule do(certainmob)spawning false (only disables a certain mob from spawning such as if you only wanted zombies to spawn or something)
New items.
+ Obsidian boat (made like a normal boat but with obsidian, used to sail across nether lava lakes)
+ Iron boats (don't break like normal boats)
+ Fried egg (place an egg in a furnace and eat it).
+ Dynamite (not as big of explosion as tnt, but you can throw it like a grenade).
+ Banana (spawn in jungle trees, similar to cocoa bean pods. When broken, drop 4 bananas.)
+ Sticky redstone (can place on walls and ceilings to carry power like normal redstone. Made with slime and redstone.)
New generated structures.
+ Snow villages (chance of spawning in snowy biomes).
+Snow golems have a rare chance of spawning in them.
+ Sunken ship (has hidden treasure in it, found at bottom of ocean).
+ Forest villages (chance of spawning in redwood forests, made of spruce wood and moss stone instead of oak wood and cobblestone)
New biomes/landscape structures.
+ Volcano (as land structure. made of new stone variant: basalt [see in new blocks])
+ Volcanic biome (home to volcanoes, very rare).
+ Coral reefs (found in oceans and made up of coral block [see in new blocks])
+ Abyss Biome (found at bottom of deep oceans and is a significantly darker place)
+ Trenches (like ravines but underwater and wider).
+ Mangrove tree (spawn in swamps instead of the traditional oak wood tree, these have bigger roots and are made of mangrove wood. [See in new blocks])
+ Coral Reefs (generate in ocean biomes, have alot more fish [see in new mobs section] swimming near them. Made up of coral [see in new blocks].
New blocks.
+ Dyed Beds (beds could dyed just like wool.)
+ Mangrove wood (found in swamp biome to make up mangrove trees instead of the original oak trees, has dirty, greenish tint)
+ Mangrove wood planks (has dirty, greenish tint to it)
+ Leather block (mainly for aesthetics, but is useful because it is fire resistant and slightly more resistant to explosions than other blocks).
+ Basalt stone variant (would spawn in volcanic biomes, have a blackish tint and come in 2 variants. normal and smooth, just like the other stone variants in minecraf).
+ Nether brick fencegate
+ Iron Fence
+ Iron Fenge Gate (requires pressure plate/redstone to open)
+ Coral Block (similar to the new sponge in that it dries up on land, could come in a few different colors. Some could be posionous to the touch maybe?)
New mobs
+ Mouse (similar to bats in that they are purely aesthetic. found in caves and stronholds, 2 hearts.)
+ Fish (come in variants...now you can see what your fishing for! Pufferfish will hurt you if you hit them, more abundant in coral reefs [see in biomes])
+ Bird (come in variants. sometimes drop feathers, make pretty chirping noises/songs)
Fantasy Wishlist (stuff we probably wont get...)
+ Shields. (use to block attacks like a sword but you take little to no damage from it depending on the material you made it out of. Can make wooden, stone, iron, gold, and diamond variants.)
+ Monkey (lives in the jungle. drops bananas.)
+ Sharks (roar)
+ Goats (maybe you could make cheese?)
+ Palm trees (for beaches. Made of jungle wood or maybe driftwood.)
+ Coconuts (to put on palm trees. Can be eaten)
+ Giants (we already have them. But in game would be cool i think.)
+ Colored wood planks (think colored stairs, slabs, etc. Dye them like you would wool)
+ Sea weed (a 2 block high grass that only spawns underwater. Can only be placed underwater. Sometimes drops seeds.)
+ Vertical slabs (probably never going to happen, but it would still be a welcome touch)
+ New enchantment: Reach. Makes you hit things from farther away and also break/place blocks from farther away/

block: when you hit it, what menu will appear?
mob: has a custom behavior, and a menu is opened when a custom button is pressed
projectile: what effect and ranged weapon will it use?
range weapon: shoots a projectile
weapon: how much damage will that zombie take?
food: mmm, yummy, but what's with the custom status effects?
fluid: does someone take damage from touching it?
status effect: whats the advantage or weakness?
Plz guyz, Add this to Minecraft.
Now that there is the Update Aquatic coming soon, that adds a lot of things to the game, making the underwater environment so much more detailed and full of life, I think there is hope that we will get similar updates for other biomes too.
I personally wish they dropped the domestic animals entirely and replaced them with wild counterparts.
Adding diversity to naturally generated structures would be cool, so for instance not all desert temples look the same, and such.
Slab and stair variants of more, or even better, of all solid blocks would finally make building consistent.
There's definitely more things that would make the game better, but these are just a few off the top of my head :]
