INTRODUCTION

Hello Minecrafters and welcome back to another blog. I've recently been wondering, will Minecraft ever die out? I looked over all the facts and have come up with a pretty good theory of what will happen with Minecraft in the future. I hope you all enjoy and have a good time reading!

My Theory

As you all know, Minecraft is a sandbox game that allows the player to build, create, and pretty much do whatever they'd like in their own world. The world is endless though, and has many possibilities and quests to fufill! Today, Minecraft is an extremely popular game all around the world, and is both fun, and educational. While some people might think Minecraft is a stupid game and isn't as fun as World of Warcraft or Leauge of Legends,it appeals to a different audience.

Minecraft updates every so often and adds new blocks, features, and new ways to enjoy the game. This keeps the players intrigued by the game, and not getting bored. With most games, after you beat them they become suddenly boring...and you feel as if their is nothing left for you to do with the game. While when playing Minecraft, your always faced with a new challange or obstacle you want to overcome and complete. For myself, that is building. Building is the main aspect of Minecraft, and is what most kids, teens, and adults find fun to do.

With all the updates that are coming out, I don't think Minecraft will ever die, but you do have to understand this. Minecraft just can't keep adding more and more features and blocks forever. So once Mojang has decided that they've added enough blocks and features to the game, that they'll officialy be done updating it. Some people may get bored after having the same blocks and features forever, and then quit Minecraft...but that's why the community is here!

Take the Overcast Network for instance. The Overcast Network is a server network with a specially designed PvP plugin, that brings Destroy the Core, Destroy the Monument, and many more PvP gaming features to Minecraft. Their are so many new servers coming out daily and some are creating their own way to spice up Minecraft. Call of Duty MC, ZombieHorde MC, McsPvP,Paintball,Spleef, they're all mini-games and servers that have created their own way to make sure the Minecraft community always has something to do!

This is my final conclusion to the pondering question "Will Minecraft Die?" No I never think it will, because the community is always showing off new and exciting things for the rest of the MC community to enjoy and have fun with. I'm hoping that in the late future, Minecraft will still be a popular sandbox game, and will never be forgotten.

CONCLUSION

Thank you all for reading and I hope you've enjoyed. If you have another burning question for me to answer in another blog please feel free to ask in the comments. I'll also be starting to post more daily now like I used to, since Summer is approaching and school will be out!

It will die out, when we do! It will advance and advance though, in time with technology, so by the time it dies out the experience will be completely different.

Foolish question, no game that becomes this popular ever dies out. There are still dedicated people that play games from the 1990's. (pokemon red/blue, super smash brothers, old marios, tekken, crash bandicoot, and so on). And people will continue to play these games. Even in college kids play the old pokemon games despite them being younger kids games, and people think it's awesome, not weird.

Creativeness of Minecraft shall keep it alive, along with the updates. Even if Minecraft DID die, there would be another game, maybe, even Minecraft the second, or something, arising from it's ashes. :3

I believe Minecraft is a classic game, just look at how popular games like 'Age Of Empires II' are - so much so that they've just re-released it on Steam.

Not only is Minecraft a classic, it's probably one of the most unique, creative games ever made (literally of all time).

I imagine the viral popularity may eventually decrease - especially on youtube, however, the game itself will be around for a long time.

To give you some perspective, Age of Empires II came out 14 years ago in 1999 and World of Warcraft came out 9 years ago in 2004. (Both of which have a strong cult following).

Minecraft was officially released in November 18, 2011 - so, not even 2 years ago.

I daresay it will still be incredibly popular in many years to come; what game allows you to not only survive in the wilderness and fight monsters, but build your own home, completely change a landscape - build a giant spaceship, an underwater city; all with your friends; the possibilities are endless. (Not to mention all the mini-games and server add-ons and mod packs available).

Creativity is timeless.

You have a very logical standpoint, and I can agree with you on the facts that popular games such as WoW and LoL have been going strong. Me, and you have probbably been playing Minecraft for a long time. Me since Alpha, and watching the updated and changes of Minecraft has been completely phenomonal, and every update keeps players glued to the game.

Minecraft 1 will surely die out but when minecraft 2 comes out, it shall take the place. Of course this will continue in version after version. So technically the game itself shan't die but the versions of it shall.
