Today I will be covering what you should and should not do in Minecraft chat. Remember, this is my opinion, so don't spam me just because you don't like the post. Thanks. Now, let's get started.



One of the things that kinda' bugs me about using chat, is that so many people swear. This may be normal in real life, but I think it's kind of annoying. Many servers ask you not to swear, and, personally, I think if you don't swear, it make you look vastly smarter. This may not be publicly frowned upon, but I think it's something to consider. Also, be respectful. Again, many servers ask for you to be respectful. There are rules 3 basic to being respectful.

1. Don't attack or bash anybody in chat, just for no reason.

2. Respect peoples opinions and ideas.

3. Don't intentionally be annoying (or at least try not to be).

If you follow these easy rules, you will most likely be liked and respected. I am this way on servers, and I got a comment about me being nice. I don't think that people give those out for no reason. Another thing. If someone asks for help, please do not ignore them. I do not like people spamming chat, but when people are just looking for help, I don't mind them asking multiple times. All you have to do when you see something like this, if you have an answer, please help them. This will also most likely get you liked and respected.



About the issue of grammar. Please use correct spelling and grammar. This will make it easier to read, and will get you less '?' messages. Plus, though I have never seen this myself, I guess a lot of kids want to be called mature, and get angry when people call them the opposite. Kids, use good spelling and grammar. It'll make you look A LOT smarter. Now, if you are in a hurry and need to type something fast, I think it's O.K. to, instead of saying 'you', say 'u', etc.
