Hello everybody!

It's been awhile since I've posted, so I just want to apologize for that. Otherwise, enjoy the rest of the blog!!

1) Making A Base

So you have your Starter kit, and your ready to start out.
When finding an area for a base, make sure it is away from enemy land (use /f map to check if there is faction-claimed land nearby) and far away from spawn, preferably around 3,000 blocks away. Once you have found an area, make your base. Make sure to have your base defended in some way, as well as claimed.

2) Making money

Okay, so now you have a little base with some kind of home set (either /f sethome <in claimed land> or /sethome, if this hasn't been done already), your ready to start making your way to the top! But, to do that, you need some green, some mulah, some currency. Basically, money! I think the best way to start doing that is to farm. Whether it be wheat or carrots, nether warts or potatoes, melons or pumpkins, farms are a great source of money. Start off small, of course, but gradually grow as much as you can/need to.

4) Recruiting members.

When doing this, you have to be very careful. Some people are not very nice, and will wreck your base the moment they can. If you are scared this will happen, then fortify your current base, go farther, make a new base, do /f sethome there, so they will spawn in new base. Once they become trustworthy, you can /f sethome at your little "vault", so you dont have to worry about having two bases. I suggest doing this when accepting new members, just in case for the reasons stated above. Besides, having members means you can claim more land, become stronger as a whole, do raiding together, etc. Basically, it makes you not be alone in the cruel world of Minecraft.

4) Do a Raid or 2.

The fine point of your factions career. Raiding is an interesting factor in factions, because you could find a good base with tons of diamond gear and spawners and things, or a small little wooden square with some starter gear in the single chest it has. It's a game of luck, when you think about it. Find a base, you came out lucky. Not finding one doesn't make you a bad person, just means you weren't so lucky. Raiding is a good place where faction members come in to quickly move all things from the base into yours.

I hope you enjoyed this blog. Keep your eyes open for #2 -- it's going to feature the different kinds of bases that could definately help you.

Give me some support if you think I deserve it!

(P.S. If you need a good factions server, my personal favorite is called MC Central. IP: mc-central.net. Hope to see you there ;) )
