POP REEL! Thanks for supporting the cause everyone!

Introduction:

Hey everybody! So today I was on a factions server (DD) and was walking around, and all of a sudden, a girl joins. I didn't think anything of it, said hi etc, and went about my business. Later, I was looking in chat and some dudes were harassing her "Sux my sword beiach" and "Muk me a shamwich!" and crap (that was how they spelled everything, looked at logs). She got mad and was going to leave but I told her the owner would probably ban them as sexismis a violation ofthe rules, and invited her to my faction etc. The two tards later got temp-banned for their tardedness (XD) and she stayed on for a while, and has been on often since, but this brings up the question:Why all the hate on girl crafters (and in general gamer girls)?

In-Depth:

Allot of the hate stems from one source: The old days. Yep, back when the woman was the slave labor force for the men of the house. Now, while I do not believe in this life style, it DID work for a long time, and as such was around for awhile, thus it has been integrated into society that women 'cook, clean and should be lean'. Even in countries where women's rights have existed the longest, there is MUCH sexism when it comes to the gamer girl.

A study a while back tested human morals with babies. When babies are just 6 months old, they can determine who is like them, and who is different, and seem to want those who are different punished for it (saw it on Nova or some crap XD). Since many people grew up around sexism, or had parents who did, they have tiny bits of ingrained sexism, which while in most modern situations does not arise (as many grow out of their 'hate differences' phase) in the gaming world players can do and say what they want without having to witness or suffer the consciences. this makes Sexism and bullying much easier for people. And thus, the gamer girls get beat down for enjoying the same bad-azz stuff we males play (Halo, COD, Minecraft, etc).

What can we do to stop this?

Not much as everyone is different and there will ALWAYS be 'that one guy', but being nice helps. You may not agree with girls gaming (though I see no reason not to), but you don't have to rub it in their faces. If a girl joins your server and you don't agree with GGs, just don't talk. Say hello and ignore her. If you don't mind GGs, then say hello, be nice, and tell the sexist commenters to be quiet (nicely if possible). If one hater is hating on a server of non-haters, they will usually go away!

And remember: GGs (girl gamers) can still beat yo a55 in COD if you suck or they got skills!
