It wasn't bad, but it could be polished.

It was very noticeable how the meteor was following the movement of the camera (your screen). You can fix this by moving the camera to counteract the meteor movement or have the camera standing still when it comes into frame and hits. I also suggest an after-effect such as smoke and a large crater. If you did this on a MC Multiplayer server you can use WorldEdit to make a perfect crater as small or (in this case) as large as you would like.
