Minecraft Needs Better Fire Spreading

Minecraft fire spreading is LAME. I wish you could burn a whole forrest down with a single spark. But you can't.

I did and experiment. I put a bunch of tall gass in a large forrest. Lit a single tree on fire, and I only got about a ten block radius of burnt.

If you are with Mojang please pitch this idea. You can take credit.

If Mojang made fire spread on dirt with grass on it (Not tall grass.) then it turned into a dirt block, like when being mined would be AWESOME. And the fire burnt longer. Not just 5 minutes.

Imagine a wood house in a forest. While you sleep, a nearby lava pool ignites a tree. You come back, and your house is destroyed, your wolves dead, and all nearby timber to rebuild is burnt to a crisp.

Considering how a lot of forests have a lava pool in them along with plains, they can burn the trees and grass to destroy entire biomes. All grass, gone. Villages, gone. anything in or around them, including animals, gone.

They could remove the lava pool from the world generating code.

Lava pools are a very useful resource. As well as needing them to get to the Nether

Whole forests used to be able to burn down. It would stop spreading only if it ran out of trees (and the fire never seemed to go out unless you hit it out, either).

I remember, because even at night my house nearby was illuminated.

i remember fire in the beta days. now that's when it was dangerous, but cool at the same time
