To prevent mobs like zombies, skeletons and other hostile mobs from spawing at night, light your house up. Also light a large area outside of your house up with torches. That way mobs won't spawn in your house or anywhere near it when it gets too dark.

If you did the previous tutorial above, then monsters won't spawn near your house, which is good. But it wouldn't be so fun just staring at your screen for the next 10 minutes waiting until morning. Try to make a bed with some wool, which you can get from sheep. Combine 3 wool and 3 wooden planks together and sleep to skip to the morning.

Don't have the materials to make a bed? Try to do something to entertain yourself like :

-craft a sword and go find some mobs.
-run around like crazy all over your house
-tell a spooky story
-burn your house. Wait no don't do that.

If you want to get really good tools you will have to mine. FIrst, make a wooden pickaxe. Use that to mine some stone, and craft a stone pickaxe. Then start digging down a staircase in your home. But make sure you never dig straight down........... If you're lucky you might find iron or something near the surface, but you can keep mining until you find good materials, smelt them, and then you can use them to make better tools and armour.

Your first reaction would be to try to get yourself out, but if you have a block on you, you can quickly place it on the source block of the lava to stop it from flowing.

You can't get to sleep while monsters are too close, so the best thing to do is to light up the area.

Quickly press F3 and then take a screenshot. The screenshot you took had your coordiantes on it, so you can find the place where you died and get your stuff back

If you went to the nether, but there was no way out, there would be 2 options :

1. Jump into lava (not a good idea if you have good items)
2. If you have the right items, try to build another portal. If you have a portal outline but nothing to light it with, try getting a ghast's attention.
