So some people have this problem and I had it as well and wanted to share this with other people who want to see some colors in chat :D
All you have to do is download the file from here: www.minecraftforum.net/topic/981282-125pre-white-text-fix/
After that you goto your .minecraft folder
Then goto Bin Folder and open the minecraft.jar with WINRAR or what ever you use.
Then drag the file you downloaded into there and launch the game.
Once you are on a server you'll see lots of colors :D
SUB AND GIVE A DIAMOND
