I have tried out a lot of mods, and there are lots of awesome mods out there. The Best mods are the ones who have stayed the longest, been worked the hardest, and have interest in everyones minds.

5. Mo' Creatures- This mod adds MANY new mobs into the game of minecraft, enhancing gameplay and adding way too many features into minecraft. Some new mobs include all wild cats, foxes, bunnies, birds, sharks and dolphins. New items include kitty beds, ropes, and shark tooths. These features really makes minecraft sound like as if in real life! With horses and dolphins that are able to breed, and the ability to tame them and give them names, its 1 epic mod! Now with SMP support, you can have horse races and hunt mobs with your friends. The only flaws are that there are more mods you need to install like forge, custommobspawner and audiomod and the updates come slowly and with not so many mobs. Overall, its a very good mod, and i recommend installing it :) ...

4. Clay Soldiers Mod- This mod adds MANY new things, like mini soldiers that will attack other mini soldiers. This mod also adds self sustaining environments, allowing clay soldiers to acquire wood and other things from chests or if you give them it, and they will build there own houses from 3 models. THey will accept 1 king from gold nuggets, and many features to enchant the clay soldiers are available like sticks as weapons, flint to sharpen them, glass to give them glasses(for further sight), shields, gravel for throwing blocks, and much more. Mounts include rabbits to jump higher, geckos to climb walls, pegasses to fly, and horses to ride. Turtles give them the ability to swim also! The nexuses of the clay soldiers give them ability to spawn spiritual ones, that dont drop things, and they have hps allowing for homebases for large scale battles. This is a many feature LOTS o' feature coming for 1 update mod.

3. Fossil & Archaeology- Arriving with modern archaeology, this very intricate yet fast-updating mod adds many new features, including shipwrecks that has chests, academies with cultivators and chests, and more buildings. These features alone add a lot. Whats more, is that you can dig Fossils, and actually have a chance of getting different items, the best which are relic scraps and Bio-Fossils. Unbelievable, you can analyze them into DNAS of dinosaurs and craft them in an ancient workbench to make a usable ancient sword and ancient helmet. The Dinosaur DNAs then can be cultivated, making dinosaur eggs. You can hatch the eggs making tamable dinos and watch them grow up throughout there ages. Pterosaurs can fly, Triceratops are VERY docile and can flatten out land, both are ridable, and Plesiosaur is ridable too with swimming capabilities. Brachiosaurs are ULTRA tall and destroy anything half its height. Javelins and scarab tools allow you to further more experience the past, alongside random enemy mobs like Living Fossils and the Pigman emperor. One of my MOST favorite mobs, with much innovation.

2. Flans Mod- Being able to create user-created content packs, flans mod brings the dream of aviation to life! Using a bunch of mods that needs to be installed(Which is not good), it allows you to install content packs then use the content packs to create fantastic tanks, guns, jeeps, and airplanes. Airplanes vary in size, and you can put bombs and missiles inside, making destruction way faster. The larger airplanes also give the ability to slide into different sitting positions, and soon when SMP comes out mayeb there will be passenger airplanes and commercial airplanes. The jeeps have multiple seats, tanks have a awesome GUI and tank shells do different damage. There are a gazillion guns, and you can select your favorite. Flak guns also provide frontal defence, allowing a more enhanced gameplay. Hopefully SMP will come out soon and you can bring out the destruction with your friends. What makes this mod so awesome is its unlimited vehicle mobility from user-created content packs and how so many possibilities are already made. Its awesome for survival and creative, with different airplane parts, guns, and crafting workbenches. One of the most recommended from me

1.Millenaire- Well, here we are with the best mod in my decision and probably many others. Millenaire...you can create user-created contents way easier then other mods because it literally requires no programming at all! All you have to do is set the parameter, make the buildings, make the upgrades, finish the signs and voila you have a new building/town.
About gameplay, the ability to search for villages really helps, and then the villages are just amazing. NPCS power the villages by themselves, gathering resources, building, and talking. They hunt at night, and have children. The main hall of a village allows you to trade with villagers getting money, and also you can see the map of the village. After a while of trading you can buy your own houses in the villages, and also get your own scroll of the map of the village and learn to plant new crops. 4 Cultures with about 10 different villages with each allow you to have hours of epic fun. If you have discovered 2 or more villages, you would watch there reputation grow or get worse as they trade or get reputation. If there reputation is really good, then they will actually go to the other village and trade. If its the worst, they will have warriors join in and you can follow them and watch as a war between the villages unfold. Whats more is that once you have become the highest reputation rank: Natural leader, you can build your OWN village, according to the village you are natural leader in. Then you can upgrade your own buildings, build new ones, and negotiate with other villages. There are also long buildings with other NPCs like bandit houes who attack you, and other things. This mod is fully configurable, with MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY new feautres, with hope of SMP version. The updates also come very fast, so you dont have to wait long for new features. GO MILLENAIRE!
