Ah, our favorite PvP Mini-game of all time: A mixture of skill, reflexes and pure excitement, Skywars is probably also one of the more popular Mini-games ever created. Winning a match of Skywars isn’t all about skill or gear – your timing also matters heavily in the deal. And thus, even though I’m not much of a PvP’er, I’d like to share with you guys some of the most epic kills I’ve ever accomplished in playing the Mini-game.

1. THE SNIPE
   

According to the official Gamepedia, an arrow, when fired from a bow, can travel up to distances of around 200 blocks when fully charged. Upon spying a player scaffolding over to a neighboring isle over 150 blocks away, I tried to aim my bow at him in hopes of knocking him off with an arrow. I was too slow, and by the time I managed to aim my crosshair at him he had already completed the bridge and was preparing to leap over. I fired, in futile hopes that I might hit him. He leapt right into the arrow, and the punch of it knocked the momentum out of his jump and sent him hurtling to his doom.



2) THE REVENGE

Y’know how players, on some servers, can still fire projectiles when they’re falling into the void? After getting knocked off my isle by a sneaky neighbor I dispensed my entire stack of snowballs in hopes of them hitting him. Guess what happened? The player, smug from killing me, was trying to get a good peek at me tumbling to my death. With luck, my snowballs went hurtling quite high into the air and, by the time I respawned as a spectator, LANDED RIGHT ON THE PLAYER’S HEAD AT THE EXACT MOMENT HE TOOK A PEEK. Man, now that’s what I call a lucky kill.



3) THE ENDERPEARL

In Skywars, players with Enderpearls are basically dominant in the game, and victory for them is pretty much guaranteed. In a faceoff with a guy donning a full set of enchanted diamond gear, after scoffing a few golden apples, he chucked an Enderpearl at my isle, ready to finish me off in melee combat. However, fortunately for me, the guy who threw it didn’t have much of a good arm, and ended up on a tree. Upon realizing his situation he leapt from the tree with his sword in hand, ready to finish me off. He missed, and was given a smack on the back by me with a fishing rod. Before he could make another attempt at hitting me I launched my fishing bobber at him, knocking him off the ledge and into the void.

4) THE LAVA BOMB

In a faceoff with a guy donning the LAVA GOD kit on Hypixel (meaning he was immune to fire), I managed to knock him into a pool of lava upon dispensing a heap of snowballs at him while he shot at me with a bow. With only 5 HP left I knew my doom was approaching – the moment he scaffolded back up I’d be dead. However, guess what he chose to use as scaffolding? TNT. The explosion knocked him all the way into the void and sent him hurtling to his death.
