most people have encountered griefers, the players who destroy your creations, place dirt on your house, burn your trees, and flood your house with lava.

now how do you prevent this?

some simple things you can do:
#1: build far away from the spawn point, so griefers won't find your base/house.
#2: build on places where griefers can't get that easily; like mountain tops, or in the middle of a lake.
#3: make lava borders or make traps like deep holes, cobweb, tnt under a pressure plater, and such.

if the server has the factions plugin:
you can claim your area so griefers can't destroy/place blocks, but beware of tnt cannons, best solution against this is placing water on top of your base, so the tnt falls in water and explodes without blowing stuff up.

if you can't do any of these things, then gather some food, torches, saplings, seeds, wood and water buckets, and go find a deep cave to make an underground base/home. make underground tree farms make farms, make a infinite water pool: mine a 2 x 2 x 1 area, and place water in 2 opposite corners.

the best bases against tnt are: obsidian bases, underwater bases, and bases with water all over it.
