Hello! I thought I would make a blog, so I thought I would do a tutorial! So I am going to teach you how to get every dye in Minecraft! There are 2  types of dyes, crafting exclusive dyes and naturally spawning dyes. First there is Rose Red dye, or just red. Rose Red can be obtained from rose bushes, roses, poppies,  and red tulips. All you need to do is put the flower in a crafting table. Roses and rose bushes will give you two, the rest will give you only one. To get yellow, you need to find a dandilion. Just like the red, all you have to do is put the flower in a crafting table. Before 1.7, it will give you two "Dandilion Yellow", after 1.7 it will only give you one. Bonemeal (or white dye) is crafted from bones. It will give you three bonemeal per bone. You can get pink dye from allum flowers,or crafting one bonemeal and one Rose Red together. Green is made from smelting cacti in furnaces, and then you can make lime with one Cactus Green and one bonemeal. Blue dye is an ore underground called "Lapis Lazuli" which can be mined with a stone pickaxe or better. You can make cyan with one green and one blue, or purple with red and blue. With purple and pink you can make magenta. Black (or ink sacs) are a drop from squids. You can craft them with bonemeal to make grey dye, and then light grey dye with another bonemeal. All of these can be used to dye wool with a crafting table, or right click on a sheep and it will become the color of the dye. If you want a rainbow color changing sheep, get a nametag (which can be found in Blacksmiths in NPC villages, dungeons, or abandon mineshafts) and get an anvil (which is crafted by taking four iron ingots, and putting three of them at the bottom, then put the remaining one iron ingot in the very middle of the crafting table, and then three blocks of iron on the top of the recipe) and then put the nametag in the first slot of the anvil, and rename it "jeb_", it will cost 5 levels of expirence, but it is worth it. Right click on a sheep with the nametag, and it will turn rainbow. Thanks for reading!
