I said in my profile page that I was a Pocket Edition player since it's alpha phase, but what you don't know is I also played Java before the full release of Minecraft.
Here's my story:
I got my first pc way back in September 2010. I think I was 8 years old that day. My mom bought me a pc for my school project in computer science.
September 18, 2010 when Minecraft Alpha v1.1.1 was released. I downloaded it and after a few hours I finally opened the game. But there's a problem. There's a bug that makes the screen gray and 205 minutes later, Minecraft Alpha v1.1.1 was removed. Because of the bug, I never thought about playing Minecraft again...
Until a few months later when Java Edition was set to it's last development stage, the Java Edition Beta. I quickly created my first world. My very first base is a box of wooden slabs that never burns. This slab is mined with pickaxe, not axe.
I experienced my worst night in Minecraft. I slept and woke up for some reason, I woke up with 4 creepers near me. I survived with half a heart.
Because I was playing Minecraft the whole day my pc broke. I realized that phones can have Minecraft too. So I downloaded the Pocket Edition Alpha and replicated my base on my very first Java world.
After the full release of Minecraft I stopped playing...
Until 2013, when Minecraft got it's biggest update (on my opinion)! The Music Update was released and I quickly downloaded it. There's a lot of C418's track you can hear. When Mojang was bought by Microsoft, I stopped playing again.
I played Minecraft again when Village & Pillage Update was released. Again, I quickly downloaded it. Then I realized that Minecraft got new textures, which kinda disappointed me. There's a lot of good old textures like the netherrack.
I skipped an update and played the Nether Update. When I got to the Nether, I found the pigstep disc. When I played it, my eardrums hurt. The music is terrible. As a veteran player, I love C418's tracks. He made my memories.
When 1.17 was released (sorry I don't know the name of the update), I went mining and saw these coppers! They are everywhere. And they only have a few crafting recipe, which also disappointed me as well.
I also started visiting PMC that day. And I downloaded a lot of texture packs. These texture packs inspired me to make my own.
1.19 was eventually released, with more terrible tracks were added. I also slowly appreciate the new textures, but I do love the old textures more.
August 27, 2022 when I decided to create my own PMC account and upload my texture packs.
And today, my mom is still angry because of me playing Minecraft.
