Hello, for those who don't know, I am Michael.

I've been running servers for a while, I posted my first server (ChunkCraft 1.4.7) a long time ago, that was when I really had no idea what I was doing, like a lot of new server runners. ChunkCraft died very quickly so I just removed the post because I didn't think it that it was needed on here any more, 1.6 came about so I made a brand new server called RivalryMines, which was meant to be a kind of medieval type server, it turned into much more than I expected, it had mini-games and all. The whole server running thing was getting something I was just used to at this point.

Then I was betrayed by an admin who tactically deleted all the worlds, it was pointless using the backup from a week previous, I was "heart-broken", all these builds, GONE. And so came Nuclear Mines (Yes I used "Mines" again) this is the server that I dedicated most of my time to. Nuclear Mines was dying out so in an attempt to revive it, I made it into a prison server! Worst mistake I ever made, prison servers require a lot more work than expected, I highly recommend a normal world server to anybody looking to run a server.

Prison server was going well, I'd been up all night and it was morning, I had finished 2 areas all by myself and set them up so that they worked, phew! A long time passed, we actually just passed 1.5k views on the pmc post and about 400 player joins, so why, you may ask, am I shutting it down now?

I'm Year 11, and for all you American chaps, that is 10th Grade (I think)
Being Year 11 is the last year of high school, next step College, but in order for me to get to college, I have to WORK HARD IN SCHOOL to get the grades I need to do the courses I want to do. This basically means removing all temptations to procrastinate so having my computer on 24/7 is just asking for me to get distracted when I'm revising and having a server with people to talk to, well you can imagine.

Also, I have got a bit bored of being a server owner if I am quite honest, if I ever join another server, I adore being a player because it gives me a chance to just play and not be hassled with endless questions about "needing staff" or hearing how good you'd be for staff. By this point in my blog, most of you have probably left so to the people still here, I have a question I'd like to ask you, or rather some advice I need from you.

Should I stop running servers altogether? Should I focus 110% on school? Is there a way I can mix both?

One other thing I'd been considering (Apart from the million and one questions I wanted to ask) does anybody want my server files, in an attempt to run it? I would take nothing from it, all I'd want is the ip so I can come and play on it, you would be the sole owner and you would be the person responsible if people complained and whatnot, (Yes it sounds bad but I'm just pointing it out)
