It was the day before Halloween, and Elle and her best friend Lauren were sitting on their couch in the living room watching scary movies. Elle was never afraid, but Lauren always hated the pop-outs. They both got a bit bored after a while, so they fell aseep. The next morning, Elle woke up and looked over. Lauren was gone. She got up and called out for her, and no one answered. Scared, she walked slowly to the door and opened it, shaking because it's gotten so cold since the last night. It was dead silent outside, and she was already getting goosebumps. She walked inside and got her phone out, peering at her messages. Lauren had texted her saying, "Sorry! I had to go, my mom picked me up. Hope you had a goo-" and it cut off, the rest unknown mixes of letters and numbers. Worried, she called Lauren. No answer. Not knowing what else to do, she turned on the television and flipped through the channels, nothing wrong with them. Just until she skipped the news channel she went back, seeing the headlines: Lost Girl; Unknown of Any Information. Elle gasped and ran over to the bed, biting her lip quivering. Not until she looked over, and saw a white rose on her desk, with a note attacked to it.
