Originality...& Why It Matters

Introduction

Hey ladies and gentlemen, mattp716 here with a new blog. In this blog I'll be talking about originality and why it matters. I will be listing the different types that make it up.

Stealing

Stealing is one of the more major parts of unoriginality. There is tons of unoriginality in the skins here at PMC. For example, one person, probably when Slender first came out, someone posted a skin of him; thats original, but then someone decided to copy that or recreated one, and it started a whole phenomenon. Here are some pictures that come up when I search Slenderman in the skins section...

Copying Ideas

The other major part of unoriginality is copying. When I browse the server section here, half the types of server I see are factions. This is probably the most copied type of server. A very commonly made skin is "Teenager" or "Cool Girl". People like to download or play stuff that's never been done or they haven't seen before.

My Point Is...

People don't want to see something thats been done a million times before, they want to see something new, cool and fresh. They don't want to see copycats.
