I was planning on making a tutorial on how I make my textures anyway, and then this contest started. So it acted as a good incentive to finally finish it. I hope someone will get some help out of this, enjoy!

I think he meant using pillow shading on surfaces that obviously do not produce light is bad.

eh, the light source they used is correct as light prevels in all directions.. not all pillow shading is bad..

In what way do you mean a circular pattern in the picking colors section. I'm confused by that part. :|

Without drawing a picture to show it, what I mean is; When you pick your colors from "light to dark" you shouldn't be able to draw a straight line between all of the colors you choose. It should be a gradual curve, either upwards or downwards.
Danori touched on it with his tutorial, though I make my curves much larger.
