Please help!

Okay, here's the story. I opened minecraft the other day and, first thing i notice, the torches and tools have outer borders. The picture shows what the land and water look like. This is very annoying and distorts the true beauty of Minecraft. Changing texture packs doesn't work, and neither does reinstalling. Can someone please help?! I have already posted on the forums, but everyone either doesn't know, doesn't care, or both.

Try updating your graphics drivers, that might fix it.

My graphics card is partially broken. Though it's not as annoying anymore, I still need a new one. (The drivers were all up to date)

I've actually just discovered other graphics problems within my computer. guess i gotta fix it myself :/
