With the release of Pokémon GO and the celebration of 20 years of these little pocket monsters, I've decided to share a theory I developed for Pokémon. It is quite interesting that in two decades, we still haven't answered where these creatures came from. Many theorists before me have tried to answer this question, but there are still some points they missed. Using all the evidence I have gathered, I will give you my take on the origin of Pokémon. So choose your starter and get ready to embark on a journey to discover what truly started it all.

Now, let's start with the first Pokémon in the universe's history, Mew. If you are not aware who Mew is, just look at my profile picture. Sure, it's dressed up as the Eleventh Doctor from Doctor Who, but oh well. Now, let's get back on track. Mew actually contains little parts of the DNA of each Pokémon in existence, which allows it to use any and every move. This proabably means that Mew has the original Pokémon gene, and the descendants of Mew would later evolve into the Pokémon we know and love today. Well, no. There were Pokémon before Mew, who are pretty much considered to be the gods of this universe, especially Arceus, the creator of the universe. So let's dig into that myth, shall we?

Arceus is considered the most powerful Pokémon in the games, with the only Pokémon matching it being Mega Mewtwo. As the Sinnoh myth goes, Arceus hatched from an egg into a universe where nothing existed, and then it created everything. He would then go on to create the other Pokémon gods, such as Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and so on and so forth. Some could say that the myth is unreliable, but if you have seen Arceus in the games or anime, you start to believe it. So I only think Mew was the first Pokémon on Earth, and other species of Pokémon came from other planets. Mew was pretty much the only Pokémon on Earth until early Pokémon like Omanyte and Lileep started to emerge. However, these Pokémon would die out from a mass extinction, turning them into fossils. However, things would start becoming a bit different after the arrival of extra-terrestrial DNA on the planet Earth.

Now, some have theorized that Pokémon came from space after the release of the anime episode "Wish Upon a Star Shape" where some Clefairies are seen constructing a spaceship and the release of Elgyem and Beeheeyem, who are clearly aliens. So how could Mew be related to these Pokémon? I believe that every planet that Pokémon originate from had a common ancestor, Mew. The Mew would then adapt to the planet's environment, creating different species. One of my strongest pieces of evidence of Pokémon existing on other planets would be Deoxys, a Pokémon that crashed onto Earth from a meteor. It is also classified as the DNA Pokémon, so that may show the different Pokémon that descended from it. But we must also analyze the Pokémon that developed on Earth after the mass extinction, and the development of humans and other animals.

I do not care that MatPat from Game Theory has said that people are Pokémon, as I have found evidence that disproves this idea. This also clarifies that Pokémon are not regular animals, as there have been rare sightings of real life animals in the universe and the Pokédex often describes Pokémon as real animals. To explain myself, we must look at what a Pokémon can do versus what a human can do. Pokémon are extremely resilient, surviving great waves of destructive fire, being thrown across the planet, and survive absolute zero and will only faint if they take too much damage. They also can summon destructive powers from another dimension or their own mind. They also lay eggs, while humans give birth to live young. So why are their humanoid Pokémon then? Well, another Sinnoh myths suggests than Pokémon were so close that they would intermarry, suggesting that Pokémon evolved around their interactions with humans. I believe that these humanoid Pokémon are descendants of these "Pokéhumans" that devolved due to their being no requirement for this trait. But there is another type of Pokémon that still boggles my mind: man-made Pokémon.

Man-made Pokémon defy much of the logic that I have stated thus far, as they do not derive from a genetic ancestor. This would include Pokémon like Claydol and Klink. My only reasonable answer would be that these Pokémon were given life by the Pokémon gods, such as Arceus, for their human worshippers. Mewtwo, however, is a different story. Mewtwo was a clone of Mew made to be stronger than all Pokémon, but ended up killing his creators and escaping. The reason I bring him up is to explain the power and durability of Pokémon DNA. Mewtwo was not cloned from some of Mew's blood or hair, rather from an eyelash. This did limit Mewtwo's power to only certain types, but powerful none the less. This shows how easily Pokémon DNA can be replicated, making it easy to bring back fossilized Pokémon. Note that this does not include ghost Pokémon, as that will be a topic for another blog.

So what did you think? As I stated above, I plan to do more of these Pokémon theories in the future, but I want to hear your opinions. Also, do you have any theories? If so, leave them in the comments below. Sorry I haven't been posting in a while, I've just had such a busy schedule that I cannot fit these blogs in as often as I used to. Also, as of now, The Prophecy of the EarthenBorn Series has been cancelled until further notice. However, new stories will be starting up soon. And with that, I will see you in the next blog!

Tbh, idk. I've heard theories that it's the last Pokémon game, so I might give it a shot. Problem is, is that one of the reasons I stopped, was because it was basically the same plot for every game. I think I'll check reviews online, and decide.
