I want to start off this article by saying that this is not meant to be an attack or accusation in any way. PMC's main rule is that content must be built from scratch 100% by you. I feel that this is an unfortunate rule that dampens the degree of excellence that members are able to display. I think that certain programs, such as WorldPainter, ought to be seen as valid ways of producing maps. Now, if a map is made purely by one such program, with no manually placed content, that is not OK, but sometimes these programs are necessary. I have been for some time now working on a map of Boston, circa 1812, but, according to the rules, it would be considered illegal on PMC. Firstly, if it were posted, most of the structures would be built by other users, since a project of such vast scale would be nearly impossible to undertake alone. Secondly, the map was made in WorldPainter using a heightmap, since building the entire terrain by hand would have taken an eternity. This is very similar to a project posted by wtfblake; a map of colonial America that would have been a great addition to PMC, had it not been removed for violating the rules. This is a prime example of what I am talking about; good projects that get the community involved, that can't be posted. Of course, it is up to the moderators and Cyprezz to determine if this rule will be changed, but I hope that they will take this into consideration. It may change their minds, but I also understand if it does not. There are certainly many strong arguments for keeping this rule, and I fully acknowledge that. This is just my opinion, but I hope that it is heard.

unoriginal and "program-generated" i think both are very harsh rules.
