Project Scams

Have you ever encountered a project that had a real-life city picture as the first mage? And when you click it, the only image is that picture and the desciption just says something like "A Minecraft city i am working on" and nothing else. Well this is what is known to be a project someone posted just to gain views and level up. I am disappointed in many people who do these things. It's just sad. They can't just simply make an actual build. Most of the time, it doesn't even have a world save, and even if it did, it would look terrible. Many of these 'scams' are also post be level 1 accounts who do not have any other projects. And plus, the project will never be updated touched on ever again. Many times, I just report the post as Incomplete, since it's just to attract more people. I advise you to do this too to make the PlanetMinecraft project pages and community better. These people do not deserve the many views that the project receives. Some could even range to 300 views. Thats enough to level up 1 or 2 times. I am just disgusted against these people and I think they should create an actual build. After the scam, they will submit a very crappy build that will only get about 20 or 30 views. Its ridiculous. I hope you guys understand my anger against these people and start to care about these things.

Really good blog. One thing i hate is when you. Find a nice build. And the building's are completly empty.
And when thares a nice build. and then thare's no downlad

I agree. But sometimes, people do not want to share the nice build to other because for example, some people take the build for them selves and say that they made it.

I have also written on the misrepresentation of people's work. I really liked browsing the project page trying to find buildings that i like lovingly recreated in minecraft. And i'll come across some where the cover photo is the real building, which draws me in, and then i see the actual building, and it doesn't resemble the actual building that much. It is frustrating.

Yes, i believe it is still up. I was the second comment. The first comment was a person who was outraged as well. I just said to stop putting a real image as the first picture.

I wrote to him via PM (so as not to be directly involved in the firestorm that seems to be raging at the bottom of his post), and gave him my opinion. I ensured not to seem hostile, and offered some suggestions to him. We shall see what will come of it
