Hello Everyone!
Thank you for clicking on my Blog.
I haven't seen a blog like this and I'm not sure if it's original or not, but I'm going to write about it anyways, I'm bored!
Okay, so I've seen this thing a lot in movies and TV shows that I call a "Reverse Happy Ending", and this typically means that the main character dies at the end after some huge accomplishment. Now, it does not always have to be an unhappy ending, it can be a regular situation that producers turn into a big, fat slab of cheese. Don't get me wrong, I understand humor, but sometimes this type of thing is overused. For example;
"I like to eat bananas"
"I... don't think that's a banana!"
"Gaaaah!"
This can tickle your funny-bone, but if you've seen most movies and TV shows coming from this generation, this little thing that has been discovered, used, spread, and the cycle repeats. And what happens is that it is SO overused, that I sometimes forget to laugh.
Yes, most movies use this the correct way, like;
Russian Roulette: Dies after winning the roulette, a feeling of sadness is twinkling in the watchers.
Skyfall: Dies, comes back, saves the agency
There are many more movies to list, I'll come back to those later.
I'm not going to list the movies and TV shows that do this, and I'm not saying that using the reverse of what is expected is bad and should not be done, I'm saying that I see it in many types of television.
Ah... That's what I was trying to remember! This can also be described as the "Reverse of what is Expected".
That's pretty much the end for this rant.
Thanks for reading! If you liked this Blog, drop off a Diamond/Favourite, or maybe even a Subscribe to see more of my stuff! Before you leave.
I hope you have a VERY nice day!
