Today, we enter a much needed topic to cover- being rightful staff.
Being rightful staff is very important in a server. It determines whether or not the players stay on the server, or if you keep your rank.
Don't Deceive!
I've seen staff deceive players that are starting out on a server with wrong information. This taints the balance in the server. If you tell someone wrong information, then people who might be listening will think the same thing. For example, if you are part of staff on a no-pvp, no-grief server, and you tell people that griefing is allowed in a region where it is not, then you are deceiving them, and other people around them, thus getting innocent people, and probably yourself, in trouble. This upsets the balance of a server.
Be Nice!
Be nice to your players. If you don't care about them, and are stingy, they will most likely stop playing on the server. Help out your players! Also, if you are cruel, uncaring, and stingy to your players, they will probably learn from you, and start acting like that to other people.
Be Trustworthy!
(I know I have written about this topic before, but for the people who have not seen my other blogs, I will mention it again.)
Being trustworthy is very important in any server. If you are untrustworthy, you are breaking the rules in the server, and rules keep servers afloat. That's why they are there. For example, if you are not supposed to give out items, and you do, you are probably thinking that you are helping that person, but are unintentionally hurting the server, players, and yourself. What if the owner finds out you gave out items? The people you gave them to will get in trouble, you will get in trouble, and people all around you will start asking for stuff. Don't break the rules!
