Redstone is magic

when i first saw Redstone i didn't know what to think.
at first i tried combining it with iron and other various things.
Nothing happened.
i then found out about redstone torches, i thought they were for lighting, yet i knew something was wrong when they were so much weaker then regular ones.
a month or two passed before i realized that redstone was magic. I managed to open a door from the other side of a room. It was the first very small domino.
months passed with me having very limited redstone knowledge, i thought 'what else is there to know' how foolish i was. a few months later i was building redstone everywhere going everywhere to find it and loving every moment. my first mini game was in 1.6 beta. My first calculator was in 1.7 beta, my first boss battle was in 1.0 full release im now frequently asked by people on the servers i go on to be there team mate purely because of my moderate knowledge of the magical thing that is redstone. What do you like about redstone or, if you dont like it, what item do you like and why?
