I was browsing the internet looking to see if there was any minecraft servers that were similar to the Garry's Mod Game mode "Dark RP", and I found one called "RoleplayMC". Sadly it's not public yet but I would highly recommend it if you enjoy role play or Dark RP.
Also I recommend following their social media to check when the server goes public because it will be really, really fun.
