Wanna know what type of players play on your server, or what type of player you are?
Op Seekers:
These people come on and say "Need any staff" or even worse
"Can I have Op?" Those are the faster ones. Others may include People who kiss up,
act like an op, or even accuse staff for abuse to achieve a rank. How to handle them?
Tell them there are no staff positions available. PERIOD.
Ban is unnecessary unless they say they are from PMC. Mess with those people first, then ban, my favorite :D
Hardcore:
These people literally come on a PvP grief server, join/create a faction/clan/town
and begin their quest to Pwnage. Usually these players are no threat to the server, but check for x-ray as
these people can also be Hardcore Hackers.
Simple, don't ban unless they hack, may cause a disruption of PVP, and may spawn camp, punish
accordingly.
Noob:
These players, are new to minecraft, need an in-depth tutorial on commands,
and take a while to get started, usually not well spoken in chat, and are victims of griefing.
N/A
The Regular
This person is the ideal player for your server, he/she survives and thrives, creates clans,
rallies others, and pretty much owns the player popularity. This person has no intention for op, and soley
wants to have fun.
You don't want to have to ban them, but they may eventually get bored and hack.
Builders/Creators:
They build and create. Mostly elegant houses,
beautiful structures, and maybe hired as builders for the server.
These people usually want to show of their work.
Usually no, mostly no, sometimes yes. Advertising is quite annoying.
Hackers:
They X-ray, fly hack, etc....
Every server has them.
These people enjoy your annoyance, naturally they are trolls.
Nocheat, antihacks, logblock, spamguard, etc...
are some plugins to help stop them, but best of all, the BAN HAMMER.
Ban, BAN, BANNNNNNNNN
Spammers
Spam, Spam, SPAM. Now with up arrow,
no hacks required to spam, quickly. This people will say things like
"This server sucks ****" Don't take it personally,
just BAN. Also may advertise their 4 slot servers :P
