SERVER SET UP

ARGH.
Is how trying to set up a server in minecraft makes me feel.
I just want to make my own server so I can play from scratch without there being dicks and swastikas everywhere -_-
I've tried to make a server before an I came across nonsense like Computer IP's and router junk that I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND! ;-;
I've played this game called blockland, which is pretty much just online Legos. It's pretty fun but the best part was...
A server list IN GAME! AND you just clicked one and BOOP! IN THE SERVER! I could just go on and say "Wow I'd love to play with some people online, but none of this servers are really appealing, SO I'll make my own!" CLICK A BUTTON and then I could set stuff on the server, and BAM! MY OWN SERVER! This game wasn't some big mainstream production or anything as far as I know but I'm sure they had a team. Maybe bigger than Mojang maybe smaller. But still it CAN'T be that hard to make this a thing in minecraft RIGHT?
