Hello! Today I will show you some simple tips for making a skin with MCSkinEdit!
First things first, what to make? A way I like to get ideas is by typing different animals or people into
Google Images. Then once you have a picture or an idea from somewhere else, time to open the skin editor.
(Sorry I forgot how to setup because i'm bad like that so I will not be explaining how.)
Once you have it open, you will see a bunch of confusing looking boxes and stuff. Don't worry. It's easier than
it looks. You will see a bunch of pre-made colors for you to use. If you don't see the color you're looking for
then click on 'HSB' or 'RGB' just above the colors, to make your own colors. Ok, we have colors but where to use
them? You will see lots of boxes that say, 'head', 'body', etc.
These tell you exactly what part of your character you are painting on. For example, At the top left corner you will
see 'Head:' in caps. This tell you that you are making the head. This selects the Face, Top, Left, Right and Bottom named squares next to it. But be careful! 'Hat:' is in caps right next to it! And that selects the blocks next to it that are named the same exact thing! (Don't know why the creator didn't label them, Hat Face, Hat Top, etc) So be careful. The Body, Legs and Arms are easier to tell apart.
Ok, well I hope this helped you and that you will have fun making awesome skins. Some may say "I've seen better programs for skin making." Well maybe you have but I like this one because it's tons easier than most skin making programs in my opinion. I hope it's easy for you too.

Colors and Body
Once you have it open, you will see a bunch of confusing looking boxes and stuff. Don't worry. It's easier than
it looks. You will see a bunch of pre-made colors for you to use. If you don't see the color you're looking for

Tools
Now this is the easy part. Up on the top left hand corner are all your tools. First tool is the most simple drawing tool, a pencil. This is what you will use most of the time. Then the eraser to, um.... erase. The color picker can be useful because when you make a custom color, it for some odd reason does not show up in the recently used colors. So you can use this to use them again. Then a fill bucket. I think everyone knows what it does. Now a line tool. This is used to make straight lines in any direction you want it to go in. I don't tend to use this for it's just easier to draw a line. Now my favorite tool, the burn tool! This is the same thing as a pencil but instead it make whatever you draw on lighter. This is useful for making reflections on skins, 3D looking parts on skins, and making cute little animals fuzzy! (Well, maybe not everything cute.) This was used on the cat I made on the main picture above. And some 'multi tool'. I really don't know what it does but if you know please tell me, that would help.
Bugs
NOTE: A known bug I have is when I use the color picker tool once it will not let me select a new color with pencil. To fix this simply chose another color with the color picker
