Hello!
I've had several people ask me how I do my realistic faces, so I decided to make a VERY simplified tutorial of it. The face shading in the tutorial only has 5 shades, instead of the 20 that I use (Slightly exaggerating, or am I?). haha. Some of you may wonder why I am doing this, it is my style after all, and it's because I feel as if it'll be valuable to the community. Every day I see skins with the exact same 4 pixel eye face, I have no idea why that is considered the norm. I feel as if some of you would have fun experimenting with a different face style if you only knew how and it didn't end up looking blocky. I love the face design, as I know many others do and some don't. Maybe it's because I have an obsession with trying to make my art realistic, but it's also for the fact that there are a lot more creative options available with it, I'll show you a few at the bottom. I know that you are probably thinking that I should do a body and a rest of head tutorial, but that's one thing I will not be making a tutorial on. There are a lot of other great tutorials on those by other people. (: *Pokes the collection on the side made by ZYRON_00*
I would appreciate credit if you make a skin with the face style and post it.
Before we get started, you should download this skin making program: MCSkin3D
If you struggle with colour palettes, I found this blog to be very helpful. Clicky.
Here is a picture of the colour palette that I will be using, and what I, soon to be you, will be making!
Oh, hey! It looks like our colour palette decided to come help us out since it knows shading can be hard. In the below images it is showing us in green what colour to use, and in red it's showing us where to put it!
(Don't make the colour palette in the middle or the red and green. They are just there for show.)
Start out with something like this, then follow the steps:
And We're Done!

But Wait! There is still more we can still do!
Add eyelashes to make it a girl.

Play around with makeup! Here I added eyeliner and eyeshadow. For eyeshadow, use a transparent colour and paint it ontop.

This one has lipstick and blush. For blush, I like to use a transparent light pink.

Even the guys have something that you can add!

Make the hair colour transparent and paint it ontop to give the appearance of stubble.

And much more! Of which I'm leaving to your own creativity!
If you make a skin using my face design, I would LOVE to see it! :D Also, if you make a skin and post it please give me credit, it'd be really nice of you. (:
Thanks for reading and have fun!
