skin making help?

Im a new skin maker just wondering if anyone could help give me advice on how to make good skins. I've made some but I'm a noob and need help. I currently use Skincraft but just got MCskinedit. Which is better? SKincraft seems easier but has limited options. Does anyone know where I could find some help or ideas? Leave a comment please. Thanks. -iwantcoffee

Download MCSkin3D made by Paril, I use that and PhotoShop, search for the_soup here on PMC, she has done some really good tutorials.

on mine i used different shaded colors like on hair u dont just use black u use different shades like spots of dark gray but do the same for everything clothes skin etc.
