Soooo i spent a really good amount of time on firguring out a really creative skin for the new contest...
throwing away 3 different other skins (actually i kept one just in case) i came up with a really good one...

so i put all this time and effort into the skin..start to upload it...and gives me the notice that skins withe transparency will appear black in game, go fix it....

really? minecraft has made so many advances yet this isn't something that has passed their minds?? think about the more creativity we could have...ergh!!

so heres the skin that WAS going to be for the contest but now i have nothing to enter :/ oh welllll

goule rêve

should i just finish this one and enter it?? i don't like it but it's worth a shot..

Yea that would be a very useful feature. I tried something like this, making a purpl-ey aura around a guys hands, finding black dots all around it. Also, it would be good for glasses, aura particles (my example) etc. Nice blog.

Well, mobs can have transparent textures, so I guess you could use this for a texture pack, even trough i'm not quite sure if it then has to be 100% transparent.

Transparency used to be allowed in Alpha, I believe. The problem is...imagine in a server when you could just make your entire skin transparent, it wouldn't be fair at all. Jeb seems to be trying to re-implement some sort of transparency/invisibility, but as of now transparency in the body/head does not work, and semi-transparency in the hat does not work.

Except that you would still be able to see their username above their character, even if they were invisible. I think you should finish it because it looks great. :D

Well, it never really disappears, it just gets nearly impossible to see, if you don't pay attention to detail

That would make you extremely slow though.
