Something from Nothing (chapter one)

Day One- an Island of My Own
I spawned here on this tiny piece of land- it's a small island, but interesting none the less- a partial ruins on one end, and a shipwreck on the other-

(I had a couple pictures that were supposed to go here, but I guess I need to learn how to do that...)

It didn't take long for pigs and chickens to spawn here, and then even a sheep! There's not one tree on this island, but very close to me is more land- swampland!
I hollowed out the shipwreck so I had a place to spend the first night away from the 'locals'- no bed means no sleep, so I spent the night digging down in search of iron to make a pair of shears- I found a little (5 pieces) and made the clippers for my sheep- Thank goodness daylight wasn't far away...

Now, before I get started on this journey of mine, I'm gonna tell you the truth-
I take advantage of the help that's available to me- Some call it cheating,
I call it surviving! I'm horrible at killing things and I end up dying alot...
For that reason I turned on keepInventory-
My time on my game is precious, and creepers LOVE to come sneaking in
after a long days work building on something, (my house most of the time)
and BLOW IT UP! Who comes up with this stuff? ... Anyways, for that reason
I turned mobGriefing off- So, cheats are on, bonus chest, and my world is
set to easy mode- other than that, I'm counting on my angels to protect me
=)
OK, with that out of the way, let's make this island my own!

Day Two- Wool and Swampland
I clipped my sheep and headed for the bigger land and trees- didn't get much wood in my starter chest so that was a priority for the day- clipped my sheep again when I got back to my island and made my bed- a good nights sleep!
Day Three- Seeds to Sow
I started leveling the ground and collecting seeds to get my garden going- when I hollowed out the wreck there was a chest with a few useful things in it- a couple pieces of basic armor, and better yet some carrots, some potatoes, and even a pumpkin! I took down the ruins on the other end of the island, and I think I'll use the blocks I got from there to make a lighthouse (at least a very small part of it)- the only thing you can see looking out from there is ocean, so when I do venture out that way, it'll be like a beacon to lead me home =) there's more to the ruins below ground and into the water, so I think it would be fun to see whats down there- I've never explored such a place so it should be interesting- back to work!
Day Four- Rotten Flesh is NOT Good Food...
OK, I'm getting hungry- I finished leveling out where the lighthouse will go and did a little fishing- until I got a few fish to cook and eat, all I had was zombie meat... no nutritional value whatsoever! I gotta get my garden going... made some glass overnight because the monsters came out before I got back to the wreck to sleep- Remember when I said that creepers were the worst? (looked back and saw that I didn't actually say it, but I should have) Well, I forgot about those wretched little zombie children... I found out last night that they come in drowned form too! the little puke killed me! Oh well, this is day six, and if I can get my garden going and get the base of my lighthouse dug out I'll be a happy camper! I will end up living in the lighthouse after I get the main floor of it done, and then I don't have to be running for my life every night at sundown to get to the wreckroom- wreckroom..... I like that =)
Day Six- A Little More Like Home
Well, got my gardens going and almost got the foundation for the lighthouse done- a snack and a good nights sleep, then back to work! Oh, I messed up on where the lighthouse is- it's actually closer to the big land, not the ocean- I'm still gonna make it work though- maybe, if not a lighthouse it can be a watchtower! never made either one of those before... back to work!
Day Seven- Ya Can't Build Without Blocks!
I had every intention to start building my lighthouse/watchtower/temporary home, but I ran into a snag- I have no building materials! guess I'll be doing some mining today- maybe for a couple days...
