In the darkest of the vast universe, galaxies were present, inside them were star systems, or just floating heavenly bodies, inside those are planets--either a desolate wasteland of ice or gas or a tranquil sphere of flora and fauna.
But in space, there was something missing. If all the people in the world were scattered in this space, would you scream out for anyone's presence? No one would hear you. It is just you--only you, floating in the dark, hoping to see someone.
Where is it? Do we need it? What is it's importance? These questions are made up--people seldom thought of it. Were you expecting a feels trip there? Well, you've been mislead.
But why did we receive such a wonderful gift? For it's own sake? For communication? For the beautiful, the truth, and the good? We have our own thoughts and we usually express it with art or language, and then, there is sound, and sound itself
And so we've evolved and began to wonder about everything's existence--Everything. On the way to studying about our own selves and everything else, we've discovered a lot--mathematics, science, language, philosophy, art, and many more.
We hear everyday, with the exception of the unfortunate deaf. All this would have taken longer to discover, or maybe even left undiscovered if it were not for this advantage of making sound clearly.
Ever since, we've used it to tell, to fool, to convince, to amuse, to anger, to depress, to insult, to compliment, and all things good and evil.
And to think such a thing was simple and commonly-used, the voice in your mind reading this may think about it later on.
That did not make any sense, now did it? I think the voice in your mind thinks so too.
