Steve wasn't always alone.  In fact, he truly still isn't.  Let me introduce you to Steve's Family.  He had 2 brothers.  They were all sons of "Bob", a villiager in bananaville.  They ventured to the nether, met The Netherlord, and asked him for power.  It was the first time they were actually in danger of being hurt from something, and they couldn't move their arms apart, for they were villiagers.  The Netherlord said "Fine, but your new lives will not be any easier".  All of a sudden, they blacked out.  

They awoke in a strange forest, alone and stranded.  There was one small change, though.   THEY HAD ARMS THAT COULD MOVE!  Longer legs, and new clothing were all part of the change.  Steve was the dumbest of them all.  So dumb that he just stood there.  For a while things were great.  No brother knew how things were NOT better!  Sure, they missed their family, but they were having so much fun, they didn't care!  

Then nightfall came.  They didn't even notice until... "HSSSSsssss....." BOOM!  Steve's brothers fell to the ground, dead.  Steve wailed in sorrow.  He stayed in a house until the next day.  Even when he woke up, he was still mourning the loss of his brothers.  When suddenly they appeared behind him!  Steve was so happy to see them, he tripped on a torch he had placed.  He didn't care.  He hugged his brothers.  

Even with his new survival instincts, Steve was still dumb, and now he was scared too.  He just sat on his bed every day, safe and warm when he slept.  While he did that, one of his brothers was mining, and found so many diamonds, he sacrificed them to Almightybob (a god I made up :D) and he became the a new ruler/god of the land.  He took the name "Notch".  The other brother was jealous of Notch, and how he made people happy, so he destroyed the other people and the things they had made with Notch's resources.  He took the name "Herobrine".  

With both of his brothers leaving him, poor steve was scared and alone.  So Almightybob took pity and wiped his memory, and let somebody else control him, so he wasn't killed.  He held on to his most cherished memory, though.  And he kept one goal in his personal mind-space.  FIND MY BROTHERS.  STAY ALIVE.  GET TO BANANAVILLE.
